Our Story
Hey! We're Zach and Meg. We moved to McMinnville in 2012 and fell in love with the valley - the back roads, the community, the slower pace of life.
Zach is an artist and maker. He paints landscapes inspired by the back roads and quiet beauty of the Willamette Valley. Meg loves finding beautiful, well-made things and curating spaces that feel intentional and calm. She's always wanted her own shop. In 2021, we made it happen.
Our pup, Poncho, is the third member of the team, though he's not always at the shop these days. He's a bit aloof - he really only loves Zach (Meg will do when Zach isn't around). His other great love is being outside, preferably accompanying Zach on plein air painting adventures - wherever that may take them.
Left By West is our way of sharing the things we love - thoughtfully made pieces from makers and artisans we admire. We hope it feels like a calm space where you can slow down and find something that brings a little beauty into your everyday life.
